DWP - ESF Seminars
The DWP procurement approach for the 2007-13 ESF programme will follow the prime contractor model. However, it is absolutely clear that in order to engage with and meet the diverse needs of the key ESF target groups, successful prime contractors will need to work closely with specialist providers, including the voluntary and community sector
At the NW ESF PQQ Event on 10th October at Haydock Park, DWP/Jobcentre Plus outlined plans to hold a series of Provider Networking Events in January 2008. The key purpose of these events will be to introduce short-listed DWP ESF Prime contractors to potential delivery/sub-contractors. The events will provide the mechanism to consider the regional specification and local requirements and explore opportunities for sub-contracting arrangements.
It is acknowledged that the timing for the events is not ideal. However short-listed prime contractors will be announced in December and providers will be in the process of developing full programme tenders (closing date 4th February).
A Provider Network Event will be held in each Jobcentre Plus District on the following dates:

Further information including registration arrangements will be sent in due course.
